One day, you wake up expecting nothing out of the ordinary. The hours pass by, you perform your daily routines and watch others do there’s. You take a long soothing bath to clear your head, thinking of things you would have to do once you’ve stepped out of the shower, leaving the remnants of your own world and jumping head first into the sea of confusion the world has created for you. Then you try accomplish the list of things you made up in your head, but you find yourself half empty, a feeling you can easily identify but unable to understand. So you try reading the book that has been kept bookmarked for so long but unlike before, you wouldn’t care even if you finish it or not—another feeling that cannot be understood. So after starting but never really finishing your list, you make another attempt to reconnect and to hopefully gain a little understanding from another person’s point of view. You check your email, see if there is something worth your attention but there is nothing too special. Then you start to wonder, Is there anything left to amuse me? or Have I outgrown the world or myself? Is the problem out there or is it really me? Then you hear this sound, a window pops out on your screen, saying…
A smile forms across your face. And for that moment, you were back in your own world again—but no more overthinking—it’s just you and how a simple message could bring a splash of happiness when you least expect it.
